Join BioTwin’s Research Project 

 

BioTwin's research project on immune dysregulation in patients with down syndrome has been approved by an independent ethics committee and aims to develop new decision-making tools by developing metabolomic profiles associated with immune dysregulation in patients with down syndrome.

The general population can contribute to this research project on immune dysregulation in patients with down syndrome by joining the control group.

Expected Outcomes of the Research

The main objectives of the research project on immune dysregulation in patients with down syndrome are to bring to market innovative tools to help healthcare professionals:

  1. Early detection  

  2. Remote monitoring  

  3. Risk assessment 

  4. Historical analysis

Who is eligible?

BioTwin invites patients diagnosed with Down syndrome to join the project.

Diagnosed patients. 

  • Down syndrome / Mosaic Down syndrome with immune dysregulation

  • Down syndrome with thyroid hormone replacement therapy

 

At-Risk Patients 

  • Patients with down syndrome who have not experienced recurrent infections, upper airway obstruction, hypothyroidism, or diabetes.

How to participate in the Immune Dysregulation Research Project of Patients with Down Syndrome?

BioTwin makes it easy to join the Down Syndrome Research Project. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Create a user account via TwinMe.

To create a user account on TwinMe you by provide a valid email address and create a password. 

Step 2: Complete the "Profile Questionnaire".

Completing the profile questionnaire provides basic information, to calibrate and initiate the development of your user account.  

Step 3: Complete the "Symptoms Questionnaire".

This questionnaire is designed for us to get a better understanding of how you are affected by immune dysregulation.

Step 4: Order your Free "At-Home Sample Kit".

To complete the process, you'll order an at-home sample kit, which we will deliver to you free of charge. The kit will contain clear instructions and tools required to take non-invasive samples.
